The landless knight, Eurich Gunshoff, bound in friendship with Ava, a ranger of some renown, wanders wild through the lands of Ethrum. She sought to see the world beyond her Darkenfold forest and he offered to guide her. The open country called to them, but little did they guess that demons and the ghosts of the dead would hound them.
Four tales included. Flowers of Imbrisius finds Eurich in great pain and Ava must save him with magic from the old world. Fresh Air is anything but as the two become embroiled in a kidnapping with a nefarious wizard. The Maid & the Mariner see the two watch a beautiful horror unfold while under sail on the Inner Sea. A Giant's Board brings them to the edge of the Dunhollow Wood.
This is a prelude to the Waters of Dunhollow.
