After eons of peace and prosperity, the shining jewel of the galaxy-Graviton Delta-has fallen into chaos. Without warning, colossal explosions tore through its cities. Panicked distress calls echoed through the void as a new and terrifying enemy descended from the stars: the Fermitians.
Named for the long-dead astronomer Enrico Fermi, these insectoid horrors swept across Graviton Delta in mere hours, enslaving its citizens and spreading their foul technology across the planet's surface. The invasion was swift, merciless, and only the beginning.
Intelligence reports now confirm the unthinkable: the Fermitians are preparing to unleash the Doomsday Device, a weapon capable of annihilating entire worlds. And their next target? New Beyond-Earth's vital weapons-research colony. With the legendary 124th Galactic Marine Raiders stranded on Venus battling the supernatural Red Blight, there's only one unit left to stop the coming extinction.
The call has gone out to the 56th Volter Ranger Battalion-the infamous "Forlorn Hope" of the Unified Space Alliance Defense Force. These warriors are born for impossible odds, forged in madness, and fueled by unrelenting courage. Backed by the mighty starcruiser Skybreach, the Volters are dropping into hell to reclaim Graviton Delta, sabotage the Doomsday Device, and drive the Fermitians back into the void.
In Kill All Fermitians!, you command the elite 56th Volters in a tense, solitaire campaign of tactical assaults, desperate gambles, and high-risk heroism. Every decision is life or death. Push your troops forward through burning cities and alien hives, seize the code triggers, and defuse the device before time runs out.
Will you play it safe-or gamble everything in one final, glorious charge?
The galaxy is watching, Commander.

From the designer, Hermann Luttmann;
"Some of you may notice the similarity with two of my previous game designs-InMagnificent Style and Crowbar. And those two games are indeed the source DNA for this game. For those who are unfamiliar with those games, they are also based on the concept of a military-themed"push-your-luck"model. The idea being that you, the player, is faced with some dire circumstances on a battlefield and you only have a minimal amount of time to accomplish your goal. And you'll need to fight against seemingly insurmountable odds and overcome numerous and mostly unexpected obstacles to win the game (or even survive for that matter!).
The core game engine used in Kill All Fermitians! utilizes a card activation system to simulate the "wall of enemy fire"(instead of dice as used in the previous designs). Rather than have a time-consuming enemy fire combat resolution process, this method is used tor eflect the relentless incoming alien firepower throughout the game. The mechanic saves playing time and simultaneously reflects how combat attrition affects your units. And obviously this is where the "push-your-luck" portion of the game design is evident.The use of cards instead of dice to generate activation was done initially because dice are not included in the game box. But after developing the card system, it also opened a whole new opportunity for the system to expand and diversify. By using cards, I could now include more information and more options. So, the idea evolved to have separate activation entries for each type of Volter unit. This added an interesting aspect where the player is given the opportunity to have a little more control over which units activate and when.The ability of the player to exert just a bit more leverage and mitigation over the inherently chaotic system was something I've always wanted to add-and so here it is."
