Produced in the creator's home studio, What Waits Beneath guides you through a multi-day dive for mysteries and treasure as you play a modified version of the classic card game Memory.

A note from the creators:
The original version of What Waits Beneath was created to practice & explore aspects of game design Nevyn was unfamiliar with. Having never designed a solo RPG at the time, it was a ground-up exploration of new systems for them, and while the mechanics that resulted were solid, the layout he created left a lot to be desired.
Later on, Jam was similarly looking for projects to practice layout on and chose the original release of What Waits Beneath. Starting completely from scratch, she redesigned its pages into the improved, evocative version we have today.
In addition to redoing the game's layout, Jam also designed it to be fully produced at home. The booklet is proudly handmade; printed & bound in our home studio.
