In Mission: Red Planet, players assume the roles of mining corporations competing to control resources on Mars. The game accommodates 2 to 6 players, each sending astronauts to Mars to mine resources and complete missions.
The game is played over 10 rounds, where players select specialist cards to perform actions such as :
- Deploying astronauts
- Launching ships
- Manipulating game events
Players score points by :
- Controlling zones
- Mining resources (Celerium, Sylvanite, and Ice)
- Completing mission objectives
