Legacy: Life Among the Ruins (2nd Edition) is a standalone roleplaying game about the survivors of a reality-twisting apocalypse, the societies they form, and the ways they evolve and adapt to the new world over generations. Based on the popular Powered by the Apocalypse (PbtA) engine, Legacy innovates by letting players control a Family of survivors along with a character from that Family. As the focus of play fluidly moves between zoomedin traditional adventure and the zoomedout actions of factions and organisations, the play group builds out their post-apocalyptic wasteland and tells a saga of survival and rebuilding. As time passes and new generations face the wasteland's challenges, players make new heroes able to draw on the legacyof previous characters, and build worldchanging wonders.
